CCCC 135. Come Cristo giudicherà i vivi e i morti?

Cristo giudicherà con il potere che ha acquisito come Redentore del mondo, venuto a salvare gli uomini. I segreti dei cuori saranno svelati, come pure la condotta di ciascuno verso Dio e verso il prossimo. Ogni uomo sarà colmato di vita o dannato per l'eternità a seconda delle sue opere. Così si realizzerà «la pienezza di Cristo» (Ef 4,13), nella quale «Dio sarà tutto in tutti» (1 Cor 15,28).

Le Christ jugera avec la puissance qu’il s’est acquise comme Rédempteur du monde, venu pour sauver les hommes. Les secrets des cœurs seront dévoilés, ainsi que la conduite de chacun envers Dieu et envers son prochain. Tout homme recevra la vie ou sera condamné pour l’éternité selon ses œuvres. Ainsi s’accomplira « la plénitude du Christ » (Ep 4,13), dans laquelle « Dieu sera tout en tous » (1 Co 15,28).

CCCC 135. How will Christ judge the living and the dead?

Christ will judge with the power he has gained as the Redeemer of the world who came to bring salvation to all. The secrets of hearts will be brought to light as well as the conduct of each one toward God and toward his neighbor. Everyone, according to how he has lived, will either be filled with life or damned for eternity. In this way, “the fullness of Christ” (Ephesians 4:13) will come about in which “God will be all in all” (1 Corinthians 15:28).
