CCCC 131. Quali sono il senso e la portata salvifica della Risurrezione?
CCC 651-655, 658

La Risurrezione è il culmine dell'Incarnazione. Essa conferma la divinità di Cristo, come pure tutto ciò che Egli ha fatto e insegnato, e realizza tutte le promesse divine in nostro favore. Inoltre, il Risorto, vincitore del peccato e della morte, è il principio della nostra giustificazione e della nostra Risurrezione: fin d'ora ci procura la grazia dell'adozione filiale, che è reale partecipazione alla sua vita di Figlio unigenito; poi, alla fine dei tempi, egli risusciterà il nostro corpo.

La Résurrection est le point culminant de l’Incarnation. Elle confirme la divinité du Christ, ainsi que tout ce qu’il a fait et enseigné. Elle réalise toutes les promesses divines en notre faveur. De plus, le Ressuscité, vainqueur du péché et de la mort, est le principe de notre justification et de notre résurrection. Dès à présent, elle nous procure la grâce de l’adoption filiale qui est une participation réelle à la vie du Fils unique, lequel, à la fin des temps, ressuscitera notre corps.

CCCC 131. What is the saving meaning of the Resurrection?

The Resurrection is the climax of the Incarnation. It confirms the divinity of Christ and all the things which he did and taught. It fulfills all the divine promises made for us. Furthermore the risen Christ, the conqueror of sin and death, is the principle of our justification and our Resurrection. It procures for us now the grace of filial adoption which is a real share in the life of the only begotten Son. At the end of time he will raise up our bodies.
