Sono i Simboli battesimali. Poiché il Battesimo viene dato «nel nome del Padre e del Figlio e dello Spirito Santo» (Mt 28,19), le verità di fede ivi professate sono articolate in riferimento alle tre Persone della Santissima Trinità.

Ce sont les Symboles baptismaux. Parce que le baptême est donné « au nom du Père, et du Fils, et du Saint-Esprit » (Mt 28,19), les vérités de la foi qui y sont professées sont articulées selon leur référence aux trois Personnes de la Sainte Trinité.

The most ancient symbols of faith are the baptismal creeds. Because Baptism is conferred “in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit” (Matthew 28:19), the truths of faith professed at Baptism are articulated in reference to the three Persons of the Most Holy Trinity.
