CCCC 129. Qual è lo stato del corpo risorto di Gesù?

La Risurrezione di Cristo non è stata un ritorno alla vita terrena. Il suo corpo risuscitato è quello che è stato crocifisso e porta i segni della sua Passione, ma è ormai partecipe della vita divina con le proprietà di un corpo glorioso. Per questa ragione Gesù risorto è sovranamente libero di apparire ai suoi discepoli come e dove vuole e sotto aspetti diversi.

La Résurrection du Christ n’est pas un retour à la vie terrestre. Son corps ressuscité est celui qui a été crucifié et qui porte les signes de sa Passion, mais il participe désormais de la vie divine avec les propriétés d’un corps glorieux. C’est la raison pour laquelle Jésus ressuscité est souverainement libre d’apparaître à ses disciples comme il veut, où il veut et sous des aspects variés.

CCCC 129. What is the condition of the risen body of Jesus?

The Resurrection of Christ was not a return to earthly life. His risen body is that which was crucified and bears the marks of his passion. However it also participates in the divine life, with the characteristics of a glorified body. Because of this the risen Jesus was utterly free to appear to his disciples how and where he wished and under various aspects.
