CCCC 207. Che cos'è la vita eterna?

La vita eterna è quella che inizierà subito dopo la morte. Essa non avrà fine. Sarà preceduta per ognuno da un giudizio particolare ad opera di Cristo, giudice dei vivi e dei morti, e sarà sancita dal giudizio finale.

La vie éternelle est la vie qui commence aussitôt après la mort. Elle n’aura pas de fin. Elle sera précédée pour chacun par un jugement particulier prononcé par le Christ, juge des vivants et des morts, et elle sera scellée au jugement final.

Eternal life is that life which begins immediately after death. It will have no end. It will be preceded for each person by a particular judgment at the hands of Christ who is the Judge of the living and the dead. This particular judgement will be confirmed in the final judgment.
