CCCC 359. Come raggiunge l'uomo la beatitudine?

L'uomo raggiunge la beatitudine in virtù della grazia di Cristo, che lo rende partecipe della vita divina. Cristo nel Vangelo indica ai suoi la strada che porta alla felicità senza fine: le Beatitudini. La grazia di Cristo opera anche in ogni uomo che, seguendo la retta coscienza, cerca e ama il vero e il bene, ed evita il male.

CCCC 359. Comment l’homme parvient-il à la béatitude?

L’homme parvient à la béatitude en raison de la grâce du Christ, qui le rend participant de sa vie divine. Dans l’Évangile, le Christ montre aux siens la route qui conduit au bonheur sans fin : les Béatitudes. La grâce du Christ agit aussi en tout homme qui, suivant sa conscience droite, recherche et aime le vrai et le bien, et évite le mal.

CCCC 359. How do we attain beatitude?
CCC 1716 
We attain beatitude by virtue of the grace of Christ which makes us participants in the divine life. Christ in the Gospel points out to his followers the way that leads to eternal happiness: the beatitudes. The grace of Christ also is operative in every person who, following a correct conscience, seeks and loves the true and the good and avoids evil.

CCC 1716-1717, 1725-1726
Le Beatitudini sono al centro della predicazione di Gesù, riprendono e portano a perfezione le promesse di Dio, fatte a partire da Abramo. Dipingono il volto stesso di Gesù, caratterizzano l'autentica vita cristiana e svelano all'uomo il fine ultimo del suo agire: la beatitudine eterna.

Les Béatitudes sont au centre de la prédication de Jésus; elles reprennent et portent à leur perfection les promesses de Dieu, faites depuis Abraham. Elles expriment le visage même de Jésus, elles caractérisent l’authentique vie chrétienne et elles révèlent à l’homme la fin ultime de sa conduite : la béatitude éternelle.

CCCC 360. Why are the beatitudes important for us?
CCC 1716-1717, 1725-1726
The beatitudes are at the heart of Jesus’ preaching and they take up and fulfill the promises that God made starting with Abraham. They depict the very countenance of Jesus and they characterize authentic Christian life. They reveal the ultimate goal of human activity, which is eternal happiness.
