CCCC 274. Che cosa rappresenta l'Eucaristia nella vita della Chiesa?
CCC 1324- 1327, 1407
È fonte e culmine di tutta la vita cristiana. Nell'Eucaristia toccano il loro vertice l'azione santificante di Dio verso di noi e il nostro culto verso di lui. Essa racchiude tutto il bene spirituale della Chiesa: lo stesso Cristo, nostra Pasqua. La comunione della vita divina e l'unità del Popolo di Dio sono espresse e prodotte dall'Eucaristia. Mediante la celebrazione eucaristica ci uniamo già alla liturgia del Cielo e anticipiamo la vita eterna.

Elle est la source et le sommet de toute la vie chrétienne. Dans l’Eucharistie culminent l’action sanctifiante de Dieu envers nous et le culte que nous lui rendons. L’Eucharistie renferme tout le bien spirituel de l’Église : le Christ lui-même, notre Pâque. La communion de la vie divine et l’unité du Peuple de Dieu sont exprimées et réalisées par l’Eucharistie. À travers la célébration eucharistique, nous nous unissons déjà à la liturgie du Ciel et nous anticipons la vie éternelle.

CCCC 274. What does the Eucharist represent in the life of the Church?

It is the source and summit of all Christian life. In the Eucharist, the sanctifying action of God in our regard and our worship of him reach their high point. It contains the whole spiritual good of the Church, Christ himself, our Pasch. Communion with divine life and the unity of the People of God are both expressed and effected by the Eucharist. Through the eucharistic celebration we are united already with the liturgy of heaven and we have a foretaste of eternal life.
