CCCC 2. Perché nell'uomo c'è il desiderio di Dio?
CCC 27-30, 44-45
Dio stesso, creando l'uomo a propria immagine, ha iscritto nel suo cuore il desiderio di vederlo. Anche se tale desiderio è spesso ignorato, Dio non cessa di attirare l'uomo a sé, perché viva e trovi in lui quella pienezza di verità e di felicità, che cerca senza posa. Per natura e per vocazione, l'uomo è pertanto un essere religioso, capace di entrare in comunione con Dio. Questo intimo e vitale legame con Dio conferisce all'uomo la sua fondamentale dignità.

CCCC 2. Pourquoi y a-t-il en l’homme le désir de Dieu?

En créant l’homme à son image, Dieu lui-même a inscrit dans son cœur le désir de le voir. Même si un tel désir est ignoré de l’homme, Dieu ne cesse d’attirer l’homme à lui pour qu’il vive et trouve en Lui la plénitude de vérité et de bonheur qu’il ne cesse de chercher. Par nature et par vocation, l’homme est donc un être religieux, capable d’entrer en communion avec Dieu. Ce lien intime et vital avec Dieu confère à l’homme sa dignité fondamentale.

CCCC 2. Why does man have a desire for God?
CCC 27-30, 44-45
God himself, in creating man in his own image, has written upon his heart the desire to see him. Even if this desire is often ignored, God never ceases to draw man to himself because only in God will he find and live the fullness of truth and happiness for which he never stops searching. By nature and by vocation, therefore, man is a religious being, capable of entering into communion with God. This intimate and vital bond with God confers on man his fundamental dignity.
