CCCC 58. Perché Dio permette il male?

La fede ci dà la certezza che Dio non permetterebbe il male, se dallo stesso male non traesse il bene. Dio questo l'ha già mirabilmente realizzato in occasione della morte e risurrezione di Cristo: infatti dal più grande male morale, l'uccisione del suo Figlio, egli ha tratto i più grandi beni, la glorificazione di Cristo e la nostra redenzione.

La foi nous donne la certitude que Dieu ne permettrait pas le mal s’il ne faisait pas sortir le bien du mal lui-même. Cela, Dieu l’a déjà merveilleusement accompli dans la mort et la résurrection du Christ. En effet, du mal moral le plus grand, la mort de son Fils, il a tiré les plus grands biens, la glorification du Christ et notre rédemption.

CCCC 58. Why does God permit evil?
CCC 311-314, 324 
Faith gives us the certainty that God would not permit evil if he did not cause a good to come from that very evil. This was realized in a wondrous way by God in the death and resurrection of Christ. In fact, from the greatest of all moral evils (the murder of his Son) he has brought forth the greatest of all goods (the glorification of Christ and our redemption).
