CCCC 335. Quali sono gli effetti del Sacramento dell'Ordine?

Questo Sacramento dona una speciale effusione dello Spirito Santo, che configura l'ordinato a Cristo nella sua triplice funzione di Sacerdote, Profeta e Re, secondo i rispettivi gradi del Sacramento. L'ordinazione conferisce un carattere spirituale indelebile: perciò non può essere ripetuta né conferita per un tempo limitato.

Ce sacrement donne une effusion particulière de l’Esprit Saint, qui configure l’ordinand au Christ dans sa triple fonction de Prêtre, Prophète et Roi, selon les degrés respectifs du sacrement. L’ordination confère un caractère spirituel indélébile, c’est pourquoi il ne peut être répété ni conféré pour un temps limité.

This sacrament yields a special outpouring of the Holy Spirit which configures the recipient to Christ in his triple office as Priest, Prophet, and King, according to the respective degrees of the sacrament. Ordination confers an indelible spiritual character and therefore cannot be repeated or conferred for a limited time.
