CCCC 337. Qual è il disegno di Dio sull'uomo e sulla donna?

Dio, che è amore e che ha creato l'uomo per amore, l'ha chiamato ad amare. Creando l'uomo e la donna, li ha chiamati nel Matrimonio a un'intima comunione di vita e di amore fra loro, «così che non sono più due, ma una carne sola» (Mt 19,6). Benedicendoli, Dio disse loro: «Siate fecondi e moltiplicatevi» (Gn 1,28).

Dieu, qui est amour et qui a créé l’homme par amour, l’a appelé à aimer. En créant l’homme et la femme, il les a appelés, dans le Mariage, à une intime communion de vie et d’amour entre eux, « à cause de cela, ils ne sont plus deux, mais un seul » (Mt 19,6). En les bénissant, Dieu leur a dit : « Soyez féconds et multipliez-vous » (Gn 1,28).

God who is love and who created man and woman for love has called them to love. By creating man and woman he called them to an intimate communion of life and of love in marriage: “So that they are no longer two, but one flesh” (Matthew 19:6). God said to them in blessing “Be fruitful and multiply” (Genesis 1:28).
