CCCC 287. Perché l'Eucaristia è il banchetto pasquale?

L'Eucaristia è il banchetto pasquale, in quanto Cristo, realizzando sacramentalmente la sua Pasqua, ci dona il suo Corpo e il suo Sangue, offerti come cibo e bevanda, e ci unisce a sé e tra di noi nel suo sacrificio.

L’Eucharistie est le banquet pascal parce que le Christ, accomplissant sacramentellement sa pâque, nous donne son Corps et son Sang offerts en nourriture et en boisson. Il nous unit à lui et entre nous dans son sacrifice.

CCCC 287. Why is the Holy Eucharist the paschal banquet?

The Holy Eucharist is the paschal banquet in as much as Christ sacramentally makes present his Passover and gives us his Body and Blood, offered as food and drink, uniting us to himself and to one another in his sacrifice.
