CCCC 533. Qual è il più grande desiderio dell'uomo?

Il più grande desiderio dell'uomo è vedere Dio. Questo è il grido di tutto il suo essere: «Voglio vedere Dio!». L'uomo realizza la sua vera e piena felicità nella visione e nella beatitudine di Colui che lo ha creato per amore e lo attira a sé con il suo infinito amore.

Le plus grand désir de l’homme, c’est de voir Dieu. C’est le cri de tout son être : « Je veux voir Dieu ». En effet, l’homme réalise son bonheur vrai et total dans la vision et la béatitude de celui qui l’a créé par amour et qui l’attire à lui dans son amour infini.

The greatest desire of the human person is to see God. “I want to see God” is the cry of our whole being. We realize our true and full happiness in the vision and beatitude of the One who created us out of love and draws us to himself with infinite love.
