CCCC 541. Da chi Gesù ha imparato a pregare?

Gesù, secondo il suo cuore di uomo, ha imparato a pregare da sua Madre e dalla tradizione ebraica. Ma la sua preghiera sgorga da una sorgente più segreta, poiché è il Figlio eterno di Dio che, nella sua santa umanità, rivolge a suo Padre la preghiera filiale perfetta.

Selon son cœur d’homme, Jésus a appris à prier de sa mère et de la tradition juive. Mais sa prière jaillit d’une source plus secrète, parce qu’il est le Fils éternel de Dieu qui, dans sa sainte humanité, adresse à son Père la prière filiale parfaite.

Jesus, with his human heart, learned how to pray from his mother and from the Jewish tradition. But his prayer sprang from a more secret source because he is the eternal Son of God who in his holy humanity offers his perfect filial prayer to his Father.
