CCCC 589. Come è santificato il Nome di Dio in noi e nel mondo?

Santificare il Nome di Dio che ci chiama «alla santificazione» (1 Ts 4,7) è desiderare che la consacrazione battesimale vivifichi tutta la nostra vita. Inoltre, è domandare, con la nostra vita e con la nostra preghiera, che il Nome di Dio sia conosciuto e benedetto da ogni uomo.

Sanctifier le Nom de Dieu qui nous appelle « à la sanctification » (1 Th 4,7), c’est désirer que la consécration baptismale vivifie toute notre vie. C’est aussi demander que, par notre vie et notre prière, le Nom de Dieu soit connu et béni par tout homme.

To make holy the Name of God, who calls us “to holiness” (1 Thessalonians 4:7) is to desire that our baptismal consecration animate our whole life. In addition, it is to ask –with our lives and our prayers – that the Name of God be known and blessed by every man.
