CCCC 592. Qual è il senso della domanda: «Dacci oggi il nostro pane quotidiano»?

Chiedendo a Dio, con l'abbandono fiducioso dei figli, il nutrimento quotidiano necessario a tutti per la propria sussistenza, riconosciamo quanto Dio nostro Padre sia buono al di là di ogni bontà. Domandiamo anche la grazia di saper agire perché la giustizia e la condivisione permettano all'abbondanza degli uni di sopperire ai bisogni degli altri.

En demandant à Dieu, avec l’abandon confiant des fils, la nourriture de tous les jours nécessaire à tous pour leur subsistance, nous reconnaissons combien Dieu notre Père est bon au-delà de toute bonté. Nous demandons aussi la grâce de savoir agir pour que la justice et le partage permettent à ceux qui possèdent en abondance de venir en aide aux besoins des autres.

Asking God with the filial trust of children for the daily nourishment which is necessary for us all we recognize how good God is, beyond all goodness. We ask also for the grace to know how to act so that justice and solidarity may allow the abundance of some to remedy the needs of others.
