«Spirito Santo» è il nome proprio della terza Persona della Santissima Trinità. Gesù lo chiama anche: Spirito Paraclito (Consolatore, Avvocato) e Spirito di Verità. Il Nuovo Testamento lo chiama pure: Spirito di Cristo, del Signore, di Dio, Spirito della gloria, della promessa.
